Emirates Group Posts Record $6.6 Billion Profit

Emirates Group has reported a record profit before tax of AED 24.4 billion ($6.6 billion) for the fiscal year 2025-26, representing a 7 percent increase compared to the previous year. The group also achieved record revenue of AED 150.5 billion ($41 billion) and record cash assets of AED 59.6 billion ($16.2 billion), according to the fiscal year report released by the airline.

World's Most Profitable Carrier

The $6.6 billion profit solidifies Emirates' position as the world's most profitable airline, despite major regional disruptions late in the reporting period. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chief Executive of Emirates Airlines and Group, described the results as outstanding given the significant challenges faced in the final month of the financial year.

He stated: "This reaffirms the strength and resilience of the Emirates Group's business model, which is rooted in safety, excellence, innovation, people and partnerships."

Strong Performance Despite Challenges

For the first 11 months of 2025-26, the group experienced very positive performance across all operations. Strong demand for products and services drove revenue growth, and healthy margins were achieved thanks to sustained investments in product, people, technology and brand. Month after month, the group surpassed its targets.

However, on 28 February, military activity disrupted global commercial air traffic in the Gulf region, including in the United Arab Emirates. Al Maktoum emphasized that Emirates and dnata quickly mobilized to support affected customers and employees, protect assets, and ensure business continuity.

Investments and Workforce Growth

During 2025-26, the group invested AED 17.9 billion ($4.9 billion) in new aircraft, facilities, equipment, and the latest technologies to support its growth plans. The total workforce grew by 8 percent to 130,919 employees, as Emirates and dnata continued recruitment worldwide to expand operations and enhance future capabilities.

The group's UAE national workforce also increased, surpassing 4,000 employees, demonstrating the success of programs aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining local talent.
