Port and Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) has supplied state-of-the-art information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) at the Tin Can Island Port Complex. This initiative aims to boost efficiency in trade facilitation and streamline cargo operations.

Modern Facilities for Customs Officers

The company stated that providing additional modern and well-equipped office spaces for Customs officers at the terminal represents a major step toward enhancing operational efficiency, improving trade facilitation, and strengthening collaboration between private terminal operators and government regulatory agencies. This partnership is expected to drive seamless cargo processing across the country.

During the handover ceremony, PTML Managing Director Ascanio Russo emphasized that the support reflects the terminal's unwavering commitment to aiding the NCS. He noted that the new office complex ensures officers operate in an environment that promotes efficiency, professionalism, and productivity.

“We promised to provide additional offices to Customs to complement the existing ones, and today we are proud to fulfill that commitment with a facility designed to offer a modern, comfortable, and highly functional workspace for officers,” Russo stated.

Receiving the new office complex, Customs Area Controller of the PTML Command, Joe Anani, expressed deep appreciation to the terminal management for delivering the project, which he described as timely and impactful. Anani emphasized that a conducive working environment is critical to the effectiveness, morale, and overall performance of officers. He stressed that the newly renovated complex would greatly enhance administrative efficiency and operational coordination within the command.
