PRWF Global Launch Absorbs Nigerian Women in PR

PRWF Announces Global Expansion with Nigerian Women in PR as Inaugural Hub

The Public Relations Women Foundation (PRWF) has officially launched its global operations, marking a significant transformation from its previous nationally focused initiative. This global social impact enterprise is dedicated to enhancing leadership capabilities, nurturing talent, and elevating the economic significance of the public relations profession worldwide.

Strategic Shift to Global Focus

Under its newly unveiled structure, PRWF is strategically positioned to foster inclusive global engagement, with a particular emphasis on emerging markets. This approach acknowledges the unique communication practices developed within these economies and their increasing influence on international business, governance, and public trust frameworks.

The foundation's evolution from the Nigerian Women in PR initiative to a globally oriented organization reflects its growing international participation, cross-border partnerships, and long-term vision to amplify talent and leadership representation from the global south.

Three Interconnected Pillars of Operation

Designed for sustained professional contribution and institutional impact across various sectors globally, PRWF now operates through three interconnected pillars:

  • Community – A Premium Members' Club fostering networking and collaboration.
  • Talent – TalentIntel, focused on identifying and developing PR professionals.
  • Training & Convenings – Structured learning initiatives and events to enhance skills.

Founder's Vision and Statement

Tolulope Olorundero, global public relations consultant and Founder & Chairperson of PRWF, commented on the launch, stating: "What began as a vision to advocate for PR women of Nigerian descent, achieving significant success and impact, has now expanded. Through extensive high-level consultations, need assessments, and analysis of challenges across emerging markets, we recognized that the issues we aimed to address in Nigeria are identical throughout the global south."

She added: "As in the economy, it is impractical to wait for external intervention to solve problems only we can fully understand. Therefore, from today, the Foundation commits to advocating for the adoption and increased value of public relations across all societal levels and promoting inclusive leadership within the profession."

Measurable Impact Since Inception

Since its establishment in 2019, PRWF, through its premier country hub Nigerian Women in PR, has delivered substantial impact. The foundation has reached over 12,000 women in public relations globally and trained 3,000 students through structured learning initiatives, demonstrating its commitment to professional development and empowerment.

This global launch signifies a pivotal moment for the public relations industry, particularly in emerging markets, as PRWF aims to drive meaningful change and representation on an international scale.
