GAIA AFRICA Launches New Member Season for Women Leaders

GAIA AFRICA, the continent's leading private members' club dedicated to influential women, has officially commenced its 2025/2026 Member Season. This initiative invites a fresh wave of visionary African women to become part of its expanding network focused on leadership, collaboration, and significant impact.

A Season of New Beginnings and Powerful Stories

The new season, which runs from November 2025 to March 2026, was launched concurrently with a compelling new narrative project titled 'The Unbowed'. This series is designed to spotlight the real-life experiences and pivotal moments of selected GAIA AFRICA members. These women, who include founders, top executives, board directors, policymakers, and innovators, share journeys marked by remarkable resilience, clear ambition, and transformative leadership.

In a statement, the club's convener emphasized that this storytelling initiative offers a window into the lives of the extraordinary women who form the backbone of the GAIA community.

Building a Community of Purpose and Authenticity

Olatowun Candide-Johnson, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GAIA AFRICA, commented on the launch. She stated, "At GAIA AFRICA, every member strengthens the fabric of who we are, a powerful community of women who lead with purpose, authenticity, and depth." She added that "The Unbowed series offers a glimpse into the extraordinary women who call GAIA AFRICA home, and the power of community when women gather."

The platform, founded by Candide-Johnson herself, has become a role model for both established and aspiring female leaders. It provides a sanctuary for Africa's most influential women through:

  • Curated leadership experiences.
  • Exclusive business and investment opportunities.
  • Cross-industry collaboration forums.
  • A supportive environment tailored for personal and professional growth.

A Hub for Influence and Advancement

Based in Lagos, Nigeria, GAIA AFRICA serves as a secure and dynamic space for women decision-makers from various sectors to connect, build alliances, and propel their ventures forward. The programming for the 2025/2026 season will delve into themes of identity, culture, and leadership, all while strengthening the powerful network that defines the club.

The launch event highlighted the club's prestigious membership, with notable women such as Tara Fela-Durotoye of House of Tara, Aina Davies of LADs Consulting, Ego Boyo of Temple Productions, and Olufunke Olumide of The Legacy Haus in attendance, underscoring the caliber of its community.
