Former beauty queen Stephanie Oforka has successfully transitioned from the pageant stage to become a prominent figure in business development, wellness advocacy, and spiritual empowerment. After winning the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Universe title in 2008 and representing Nigeria at Miss Universe, she has built a diverse career spanning fashion, entrepreneurship, public service, and ministry.
Minister of Commerce for Loveworld Nation
Oforka currently serves as the Minister of Commerce for Loveworld Nation, where she leads initiatives to strengthen the Kingdom economy and advance Africa's economic agenda through strategic trade and investment partnerships. Central to her work is the Loveworld Trade and Investment Forum (LTIF), a high-level business platform connecting Strategic Business Organisations (SBOs) with market opportunities, facilitating trade deals, building capacity, and promoting sustainable growth.
Under her leadership, the Ministry of Commerce has expanded support for over 150 SBOs, providing entrepreneurs with access to markets, operational support, and scaling opportunities. Speaking at a recent LTIF engagement, Oforka emphasised the growing importance of trust in global commerce. "Trust has become one of the most critical currencies in global business. In a world marked by misinformation and unpredictable systems, trust remains the foundation of successful partnerships and investments," she said.
Wellness Advocacy
Beyond commerce, Oforka is a strong advocate for women's wellness and empowerment. She founded Stephanie Nicholas Wellness, a brand focused on supporting women dealing with cystic acne, hormonal imbalance, post-pregnancy body changes, and self-confidence issues. The brand reflects her commitment to holistic wellbeing, self-care, and personal transformation for women.
Spiritual Leadership
Her influence extends into the spiritual space through ASP Radiance Fellowship, a ministry empowering business professionals while promoting spiritual growth and purpose-driven leadership. Oforka regularly shares insights on faith, identity, and personal development, encouraging women to discover their purpose, embrace self-worth, and pursue multiple career paths without limitation. She believes women should not be confined to a single identity or profession but should be empowered to explore their full potential.
Her leadership philosophy is rooted in values, integrity, and compassion. "Value-driven leadership is anchored in integrity, compassion and long-term impact," she said.
Empowering Women
Oforka's journey from beauty queen to business leader continues to inspire many women across Nigeria and beyond. Through her work in wellness, commerce, fashion, and ministry, she champions initiatives that create opportunities for women and support sustainable development. "Empowering women along the value chain is as important to me as the products themselves," she added.
As she expands her wellness brand and explores new opportunities in beauty and fashion, Stephanie Oforka stands as a symbol of modern African leadership—demonstrating that success can be achieved across multiple sectors while remaining grounded in purpose, service, and impact.
