Petrol Prices Stable at N1,275/L as Global Crude Oil Surges Past $108
Petrol Prices Stable at N1,275/L Amid Global Oil Surge

The Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) has released an update on petrol prices across depots in Nigeria. According to data from MEMAN, the average gantry price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) remained stable at N1,275 per litre, unchanged from the previous week. However, import parity estimates for petrol have risen sharply, reflecting the surge in global crude oil prices, which have climbed above $108 per barrel for Brent crude.

Diesel and Aviation Fuel Prices

Diesel (AGO) prices have strengthened to around N1,750 per litre at import parity spot estimates, while Dangote gantry pricing for diesel is close to N1,800 per litre. Coastal supply levels for diesel are notably lower at approximately N1,443 per litre, indicating significant markups between different logistics and delivery points. Aviation fuel (ATK) prices show mixed movements, with import parity spot values hovering near N1,679 per litre, while Dangote gantry prices are closer to N1,650 per litre. This suggests that jet fuel pricing is near parity, with slight deviations based on supply chain and financing assumptions.

These adjustments come amid fluctuating global crude oil prices and ongoing market dynamics.
