A Nigerian building contractor has sparked a lively online debate after advising a friend against buying a Spider car and using the money to construct a two-bedroom house instead. The contractor, who goes by @juniorboy0042 on TikTok, shared a tour of the unfinished property, explaining that the owner had initially budgeted N11 million for the vehicle but was convinced to invest in real estate.

In the video, the contractor revealed that his friend, who is still a tenant, wanted to buy a Spider car. He advised him against the purchase, suggesting that the money could be better used to start a building project. The friend agreed and handed over the N11 million car budget to the contractor.
The contractor said he bought a plot of land for N2 million and spent more than N5 million on the building so far. The remaining funds are earmarked for finishing touches. The two-bedroom house has been roofed with long-span aluminium sheets in a flat-roof style, and casement windows have already been installed. Exterior plastering is complete, and interior plastering is almost finished.
