Addressing Housing Frustrations
Conceived from the frustrations experienced by many Nigerians, especially diaspora members, Metro & Castle's project is designed to provide comfortable and secure living environments. Abdul Adekunle, the Managing Director and CEO, emphasized that the housing estate's ultimate goal is to establish good communities with all necessary facilities and infrastructure in place.
Tailored Designs for the Middle Class
The company has carefully designed its houses to meet the specific needs of the middle class. Through close listening to potential residents, Metro & Castle identified a demand for smaller housing units, leading to the development of two-to-four-bedroom terraced apartments. This approach not only caters to local residents but also makes it more appealing for diaspora Nigerians to invest their resources in Nigeria's real estate market.
Infrastructure and Community Enhancements
As part of its community development strategy, Metro & Castle has integrated essential amenities into its projects. The company's first five-year objective includes providing 300 housing units and three retail outlets. Currently, approximately 80 percent of the housing units have been erected, and two out of the three retail outlets are already operational, with the third under construction.
The retail hub, known as Metropolis Square, features a supermarket, while a sports centre is also being rehabilitated to serve the community. These infrastructures are crucial for fostering a vibrant and supportive neighborhood, aligning with the company's vision of bridging gaps left by fraudulent engineers and developers.
