Okomu Oil Shareholders Approve N14.3bn Final Dividend

Shareholders of Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc have given their approval to the proposed final dividend payout of N14.3 billion for the 2025 financial year, as recommended by the board of directors. This cash distribution, which amounts to N15 per share, was ratified during the company's 46th annual general meeting held in Abuja on May 26. The payout is subject to withholding tax at the applicable rate, as per regulatory filings.

Company Operations and Interim Dividend

Okomu Oil's core business activities involve the development of oil palm plantations, palm oil milling, palm kernel processing, and rubber plantations. Earlier in the year, the company had already announced an interim dividend of N30 per share, equivalent to a payout of N28.6 billion, following the release of its half-year results.

Special Dividend and Total Payout

In a move similar to its main competitor, Presco, Okomu Oil declared a special dividend of N10 per share last October. This special dividend translated into a payout of N9.5 billion, driven by a more than doubling of net profit for the first nine months of 2025 to N60.3 billion. Combining all three dividend announcements for the year under review, the total cash rewards to shareholders amount to N55 per share, summing up to N52.5 billion. This represents a 52.8 percent increase over the total dividend for 2024, when N34.3 billion was distributed, equating to N36 per share.
