With the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to kick off in just two days, sports e-commerce platform LeagueBook has unveiled a new campaign designed to help football fans overcome one of the tournament's biggest challenges: securing match tickets and official merchandise. The company announced the launch of its 'Squad Up to Score' World Cup campaign, introducing a social shopping approach that combines community interaction with real-time commerce to simplify the often frustrating process of obtaining tickets for the world's biggest football tournament.
Addressing High Demand and Limited Availability
As anticipation builds for the first 48-team FIFA World Cup, demand for match tickets has reached unprecedented levels. Fans have faced fluctuating resale prices, limited availability and complex ticket release systems, leaving many scrambling to secure seats before the tournament begins on June 11. LeagueBook said its latest initiative seeks to address those frustrations by enabling supporters to collaborate rather than compete in isolation.
Group-Buying and Integrated Chat Channels
The sports e-commerce and chat application allows users to group-buy tournament tickets and official team merchandise while communicating through integrated chat channels. The feature enables fans to coordinate purchases with friends and fellow supporters, track ticket availability and share the costs associated with attending matches. According to the company, communities on the platform can receive verified alerts on official ticket availability and complete group purchases of up to six match tickets within a single chat thread.
Coverage Across 16 Host Cities
The campaign arrives as 48 nations prepare to compete across 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States. LeagueBook said the platform also offers access to authentic national team kits and merchandise from major brands, with delivery options to either fans' home addresses or directly to host-city destinations. The app includes dedicated chat rooms for each of the tournament's host cities, allowing travellers and local supporters to exchange match-day advice, organise transport and access verified resale opportunities under the platform's buyer protection framework.
Restoring Confidence in Ticket Buying
The launch comes amid growing concerns among supporters over variable pricing and uncertainty surrounding ticket access through conventional channels. By combining e-commerce with moderated community interaction, LeagueBook said it hopes to restore confidence to the ticket-buying process. The company added that embedding commerce within a trusted social environment enables fans not only to secure access to matches and merchandise but also to build connections with others sharing the same passion.
Campaign Now Live Globally
The 'Squad Up to Score' campaign is now live globally through the LeagueBook app on iOS and Android devices. Fans can join their national team's chat hub, receive live ticket alerts and access the platform's integrated ticket marketplace as the countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026 enters its final hours.
