NATOP Promotes Sustainable Travel with Abuja Green City Tour

The National Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) has announced its commitment to advancing sustainable transport and tourism systems through the recently organized Abuja Green City Tour. The event, which convened key stakeholders from the tourism and transport sectors, highlighted the Federal Capital Territory’s potential for eco-friendly development.

Bolaji Mustapha, President of NATOP, issued a statement describing the tour as more than a simple sightseeing exercise. He emphasized that it served as a strategic platform to reshape Nigeria’s tourism narrative by integrating environmentally conscious practices and fostering collaboration among industry players.

During the tour, participants visited several notable locations, including the National Assembly Museum, the Garki Palace, and selected religious centers and art galleries across Abuja. The itinerary also featured a stop at BMT Gardens, along with a guided drive through key green and natural areas within the capital city.
