The graduating classes of 2025 and 2026 achieved remarkable success with seven students earning first-class honors, demonstrating exceptional academic performance and professional potential.

These high-achieving graduates navigated challenging courses including Data Analysis (MAS 414) and Reporting the Economy (MAS 323) while managing demanding schedules that included editorial roles, internships, fellowships, business ventures, volunteering activities, and personal branding initiatives. Many initially considered pursuing Law degrees but were ultimately drawn to Mass Communication due to its storytelling capabilities and versatility across multiple media disciplines.
Individual Success Stories and Strategies
Elizabeth Boluwatife Cole graduated with an impressive 4.68 CGPA, beginning her academic journey with a strong 4.84 in her first year. A published author and ghostwriter, she credited her discipline to her Queen's College background. After receiving a C in International Communication, she used this as motivation to excel further. Currently working in multimedia storytelling and filmmaking with Aproko Doctor Studios and EbonyLife, she plans to join the Multichoice Talent Factory and pursue a master's degree in Media or Film.
Ayomide David Balogun achieved a 4.55 CGPA after switching from Law to Mass Communication when his JUPEB points fell short. He emphasized the importance of calm study environments, peer teaching, and maintaining a vision board to recover from academic challenges and maintain focus throughout his studies.
Odunewu Tosin Iyanuoluwa emerged as the Best Graduating Student with an exceptional 4.89 CGPA. Overcoming initial camera shyness, she balanced ALX Africa courses, fellowships, and meetings while maintaining mostly A grades. Her success strategy included short daily reading sessions, consistent class attendance, and collaborative problem-solving approaches in challenging courses like Data Analysis.
Treasure Ughulu graduated with a 4.78 CGPA, beginning her academic journey with a perfect 5.0 in her first year. She developed effective study habits including 20-minute focused study sessions, a strict 10 pm study cut-off time, and social learning approaches. A third-year exam experience where she blanked due to exhaustion taught her the importance of trusting her preparation and maintaining calm under pressure.
Iseoluwa Grace Onadipe achieved a 4.52 CGPA while crediting Roche International and Merit Tutors for shaping her academic mindset.
