Kogi Poly sacks officer over s3xual misconduct

The Governing Council of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has taken decisive disciplinary actions against three staff members, including the termination of an officer for s3xual molestation and the demotion of a senior official for negligence.

Council Approves Strict Disciplinary Measures

In a move to enforce its strict disciplinary standards, the council approved the termination of Mr. Mukhtar Muhammed, an Administrative Officer II, following allegations of s3xual molestation. This decision underscores the institution's zero-tolerance policy towards such misconduct.

Furthermore, the council demoted Mr. Audu Mathew from his position as a Deputy Registrar to the rank of Principal Assistant Registrar. This demotion was a direct consequence of his negligence of duty.

A third staff member, Mrs. Funmilayo Afolabi, an Assistant Chief Executive Officer, also had her appointment terminated. This action was taken because she absconded from duty for a period of nine months.
