Owoeye Daniella Jedudunsin, a 16-year-old student, has achieved an impressive score of 372 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). In an exclusive interview, she shared the study apps she used and her dream course at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Outstanding UTME Performance
Daniella scored 98 in English, 98 in Chemistry, 94 in Physics, and 82 in Mathematics, making her the top scorer at her tutorial centre, Daily Ed Consults. She hails from Ekiti State and completed secondary school in 2025.
Second Attempt Success
This was Daniella's second UTME attempt. She explained that technical glitches at her exam centre affected her first result, preventing her from gaining admission. She did not request a re-sit but used the experience to prepare better for 2026.
Study Strategy and Resources
Daniella began her preparation early, using a variety of resources. She participated in both free and paid tutorials from DailyEd online tutorial. She also used CBT practice apps like Prep 50, JAMB series remix past questions, textbooks, online videos, and PDFs to cover the JAMB syllabus.
Key to success: She emphasized the importance of committing her studies to God through daily prayers and fasting.
Dream Course at UNILAG
Daniella chose Medicine and Surgery at UNILAG because of her passion to provide medical support and help people live healthy lives. She set her goal at 370+ and is now preparing for the post-UTME with strategic plans.
Father's Pride
Her father, Mr. Owoeye Taiwo Joseph, expressed excitement and pride in her achievement. He ensured she had necessary resources and, along with his wife, prayed daily for her success. He plans to give her a gift to celebrate her outstanding performance.
