NUC Grants Adeleke University Full Accreditation for 22 Programmes

Adeleke University, located in Ede, Osun State, has announced that it has obtained full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 22 undergraduate programmes. These programmes were evaluated during the Commission’s accreditation exercise conducted between October and December 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Solomon Adebola, made this announcement during a recent gathering with the university community. He explained that the approval was communicated through a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary. Professor Adebola emphasized that the accreditation was granted after a thorough assessment of human resources and facilities by the NUC team.

The accredited programmes include Finance, Office and Information Management, Public Administration, Nursing Science, English Language and Literary Studies, Religious Studies, History and International Studies, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Food Science and Nutrition.

The Vice-Chancellor noted that the accreditation is valid for a period of five years. In addition to these, the university has recently received approval for two new programmes: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Pharm), which are offered in the Faculties of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, respectively.

Professor Adebola expressed his gratitude to the staff for their dedication and commitment to academic excellence, which aligns with the institution’s motto: Education, Excellence, and Character.
