The awards ceremony is set to take place on June 28 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, with comedian Druski hosting, making him the youngest host in the show's history.
Tems Leads Nigerian Contingent
Tems stands out with three nominations. She is up for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist alongside SZA and Ella Mai. Her song 'First' earned a BET Her nomination, and she features on Dave's 'Raindance,' which is nominated in the Viewers' Choice category.
Other Nigerian Nominees
Wizkid and Asake received a Best Group nomination, one of the most competitive categories. Burna Boy earned a Best Collaboration nod for his appearance on Gunna's 'wgft.'
Cardi B Leads Overall Nominations
Cardi B is the most nominated artist this year, with nods for Album of the Year for 'Am I The Drama?', Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Viewers' Choice for 'Outside', and Best Collaboration for the 'Errtime Remix'. Other Album of the Year contenders include Tyler, the Creator, J. Cole, Bruno Mars, and Clipse for 'Let God Sort Em Out'.

Bruno Mars is nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist alongside Chris Brown, Usher, and Brent Faiyaz.
