Akube Nation, a popular Nigerian TikToker, died in a car crash just hours after posting his final video. The clip, in which he joyfully dances and reveals he just ate Amala, a traditional Nigerian delicacy, has since gone viral, leaving fans heartbroken.
Eyewitness account of the crash
An eyewitness recounted the events leading to the crash. Speaking to Legit.ng, the visibly shaken man said he was too exhausted to drive Akube Nation himself and asked another person to take him. "This is the person I asked to drive him. I was tired and went home to rest," he said.
According to the eyewitness, Akube Nation insisted on driving despite not knowing how. "He told me they started arguing, and Akube Nation collected the car key from him. The painful part is that he had never driven a car before," the man added.
Fighting back tears, the eyewitness expressed deep regret: "I keep thinking I should have just driven him myself. But I was exhausted and decided to go home and sleep, so I asked someone else to take him."
