The mother of Anu Adeleke, Ayo Labinjoh, has publicly presented what she asserts is the only existing DNA test result concerning her daughter's paternity link to superstar singer Davido. This move directly challenges Davido's recent claim that as many as five such tests have been conducted in the past.
A Direct Response to Davido's Allegations
The controversy ignited when teenager Anu Adeleke publicly appealed to Davido on Instagram, seeking a new DNA test for closure. Davido responded angrily, denying paternity and threatening legal action. Crucially, he stated that multiple tests, up to five, had already been done to settle the matter.
In a sharp rebuttal on Instagram, Ayo Labinjoh shared a printed document she identified as the DNA test from 2014. She insisted this was the singular test ever performed, contradicting the singer's narrative. Labinjoh cast doubt on the test's methodology, alleging it used blood instead of a swab, and challenged Davido to produce evidence of his claimed multiple tests.
"The ONLY DNA ? TEST Fake‼️ No swab, just bl00d ? Not 2, Not 5 We still haven’t seen David post today online and in newspapers," part of her caption read.
Kemi Olunloyo's Corroboration and Netizens' Reactions
Adding another layer to the story, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo supported Labinjoh's account. Labinjoh acknowledged Olunloyo's past efforts, stating she fought hard for Anu in 2018. Olunloyo claimed the document in circulation was from her own investigation and was obtained from the Labinjoh family's late lawyer.
The online community remains deeply divided. Some users suspect a coordinated effort to tarnish Davido's reputation, while others express sympathy for Anu and call for a resolution that considers the child's wellbeing.
Celebrity Opinions and the Path Forward
Media personality Tunde Ednut entered the fray, siding with Davido. He pointed to physical features, arguing that Anu does not share the distinct look of Davido's other five children, using this as grounds for skepticism.
As it stands, the conflict is at a stalemate. One side presents a single, questioned test result from 2014, while the other asserts multiple tests have already provided answers. The public call for a transparent, new DNA test under agreed-upon conditions grows louder, but neither party has yet agreed to such a step, leaving the saga unresolved and the core question of paternity publicly contested.
