Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian Cute Abiola has revealed that he spent over ₦40 million to support local drone maker Aliu Musa Damilola in achieving his dream of becoming a commercial pilot. The disclosure has drawn widespread applause from fans and social media users.

From Drone Maker to Commercial Pilot

Aliu Musa Damilola, who gained recognition for building remote-controlled aircraft from scratch, has now completed training as a professional pilot. Cute Abiola shared a YouTube documentary chronicling Musa's transformation, from their first meeting in 2023 to 2026, when Musa had become a licensed commercial pilot.

In the documentary, Musa explained that his passion for aviation began at a young age. "It all started as a passion when I was very young. I really wanted to be a pilot, so that motivated me to start building remote-controlled aircraft from scratch," he said.

Over ₦40m Invested in Education and Accommodation

Cute Abiola revealed that he covered Musa's education and accommodation costs, which totaled more than ₦40 million. "We have spent more than 40 million for him to be in school and become a commercial pilot including accommodation," the comedian said.

Despite this significant investment, Cute Abiola appealed to Nigerians to contribute an additional $30,000 to help Musa obtain his aircraft type rating—a qualification required to operate a specific aircraft type. The comedian's appeal was made through the documentary and his social media platforms.

Fans Applaud the Generous Gesture

The comedian's gesture has drawn praise from social media users, many of whom commended him for investing in another person's dream and helping him achieve a lifelong ambition. Musa also demonstrated the skills he acquired during his training by taking Cute Abiola on a flight, showcasing his newfound expertise.

Cute Abiola is known for his comedy skits and social media content, having built a large following through humorous portrayals of everyday Nigerian experiences. His support for Musa adds a new dimension to his public persona, highlighting his commitment to uplifting others.

The documentary has sparked conversations about the power of mentorship and financial support in transforming lives, with many fans expressing hope that Musa will secure the remaining funds needed for his type rating and continue his aviation career.
