Daddy Freeze Responds to Backlash Over Outfit at Alexx Ekubo's Service of Songs
Controversial media personality Daddy Freeze has again addressed the public criticism he faced for wearing black to the all-white service of songs for late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo. In a video circulating online, Freeze claimed he was led by the spirit and did not see the white dress code, adding that some family members also wore black.
Freeze stated, 'We can see that there is an issue with the dress code, I went as led by the spirit, in all honesty I didn't see the white, I don't understand the white.' He also criticized the event for resembling a 'gospel concert' rather than a solemn mourning gathering, dragging gospel singer Mercy Chinwo among others.
Freeze Defends Challenging Men of God
The media personality argued that the attack on him was because he dared to challenge men of God. 'The attack is because I dared to challenge your men of God to come and heal the over 50 cripples that I have that they have not been able to heal over a week,' Freeze said. He added, 'I was taught to think critically, ask questions, and not follow the bandwagon.'
Family Drama Escalates After Ekubo's Burial
Freeze's comments come as some of Ekubo's relatives called out his stepmother over claims of irregularities in funeral arrangements conflicting with a family wedding, and alleged sidelining of biological relatives. The escalating crisis has drawn public attention.
