Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has provided clarity on why efforts to relocate ailing actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, to other locations for spiritual treatment have not been possible. In a statement, Kosoko expressed gratitude to fans, colleagues, and well-wishers for their prayers, financial contributions, and offers of both medical and spiritual assistance.
Hundreds of Offers Received for Ogogo's Care
According to Kosoko, the family has received hundreds of offers from individuals who believe they can help Ogogo. He noted that more than 300 and even over 500 people have offered to assist, making it challenging to determine where Ogogo could be taken while ensuring he continues receiving proper care at the hospital. Kosoko emphasized that moving him from the hospital at this stage of his treatment would be extremely difficult.
Family's Position on Spiritual Treatment Offers
Kosoko urged people not to feel offended if the family is unable to bring Ogogo to them for spiritual treatment. He stressed that the inability to do so does not mean the family doubts the intentions of those offering help. The veteran actor appealed to everyone to continue praying for Ogogo and supporting the family as they remain hopeful for his recovery.
Hope for Recovery Amid Support
“We believe strongly that, with your prayers, our prayers, and the mercy of Almighty God, Taye will come out of this situation successfully,” Kosoko said. The family continues to rely on the goodwill and prayers of the public while Ogogo remains under medical care.
