Gospel singer Judith Kanayo-Oparam, popularly known as Judikay, has opened up about the challenges she faced during her second pregnancy. The singer and her husband welcomed a baby a few months ago after waiting for several years to expand their family.
Judikay Recalls Pregnancy Ordeal During Baby Dedication
During her baby dedication in church, Judikay recounted what she was told while pregnant and traveling to Canada to give birth. She revealed that at 34 weeks, she traveled to Canada and went for a scan. The sonographer, while pressing her abdomen, told her that her baby was not breathing and did not have a nose.
Sharing more details, the singer said she was also informed that a Down syndrome test would be necessary. Upon hearing this, she called her husband, who advised her to tear up the report and refuse any further tests. Together, they began praising God in thanksgiving for their baby.
When it was time for delivery, Judikay said her daughter had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice while still in the womb. Despite the frightening diagnosis, both mother and child are now healthy.
Social Media Reactions
Many fans and followers reacted to Judikay's testimony. Comments included prayers for complete and perfect babies, gratitude for God's faithfulness, and declarations of healthy deliveries.
In other news, Judikay recently joined Mercy Chinwo in dragging music label boss Eezee Tee to court, accusing him of stealing $264,000. She raised issues about altered reports and missing revenue documentation.
