Oyemykke Urges Davido: Conduct New DNA Test to Avoid Hellen & Cubana Repeat
Oyemykke to Davido: New DNA Test Needed for Anu

Nigerian media personality Oyemykke has publicly intervened in the long-running paternity dispute involving superstar singer Davido and Ayo Labinjoh, the woman who claims he is the father of her daughter, Anu Adeleke.

A Personal Plea to Prevent Another Celebrity Paternity Saga

In a detailed Instagram video, Oyemykke, whose real name is Abisoye Olukoya Michael, appealed directly to Davido to consider conducting another DNA test. His central argument was to avoid a protracted public drama similar to the controversial case involving celebrity bartender Cubana Chief Priest and Hellen Ati, who also claimed he fathered her child.

Oyemykke emphasised that his motivation stems from a desire to protect the child's future mental well-being and to shield Davido's marriage to Chioma from relentless public scrutiny. He stressed that the ongoing doubts and online chatter are damaging for all parties involved, especially the young girl at the centre of the claims.

Oyemykke's Childhood Connection to the Alleged Baby Mama

Revealing a personal layer to the story, Oyemykke explained that he shares a history with Ayo Labinjoh. He disclosed that they grew up in the same neighbourhood in Ibadan, with their houses directly opposite each other at Idi Orogbo, and were childhood friends.

He admitted that when Ayo first made her claims years ago, he chose to remain silent because he lacked full knowledge of the situation. He referenced Davido's previous statement that a DNA test had been conducted which excluded him as the father.

However, seeing the story resurface now, with Anu old enough to reach out to Davido herself, moved him to speak out. He described the situation as "painful," noting that the child is essentially on a quest to discover her identity.

The Call for Final Clarity and Public Reaction

Oyemykke's proposed solution is a definitive, transparent DNA test. He argued that if Davido has stated he has done multiple tests and the mother continues to dispute them, then a new one is necessary to provide ultimate clarity for the Nigerian public and, most importantly, for the child.

"If Davido says he has done five DNA tests and the mother insists they’re not correct, then we Nigerians will need another one," Oyemykke stated. "I don’t want this to turn into a case like Helen and Cubana Chief Priest. For the sake of the child, another DNA test is necessary."

The plea has sparked mixed reactions online. Some netizens agree that a final, credible test is needed to end the saga, expressing concern for the child's welfare. Others, however, question the need for further testing after multiple previous results, suggesting the issue may be more about clout or distrust than science.

One user commented, "This shouldn't be about fame or online drama, it should be about the child. Clear it once and for all so everyone can move on in peace." Another countered, "What about the man that has been constantly harassed by the same people over and over. He doesn't owe them jack."

As the court of public opinion remains divided, Oyemykke's intervention adds a significant voice calling for a conclusive resolution to a story that continues to captivate and divide the Nigerian entertainment scene.
