Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has passed away after a battle with stage-four cancer. His daughter, Kira Hassan, confirmed his death in an emotional Instagram Live video on Sunday, stating, “My daddy is dead. I can’t believe it.”

Just last week, Kira Hassan had come online to disclose that her father was battling a terminal illness. She revealed that the family was not seeking financial assistance but rather connections to a hospital that could admit him for treatment. According to her, all the hospitals they had approached declined to take him in because he was already in the late stage of the ailment.
Ogogo’s death comes exactly two months before his 67th birthday. The news has sent shockwaves through the Nigerian entertainment industry, with fans and colleagues mourning the loss of the veteran actor.
