Brother Nsikan Umoh and his wife, Ijeoma Umoh, have welcomed twin babies — Goodness and Mercy Umoh — after 12 years of waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb. The couple shared their testimony at The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries headquarters, praising God for His faithfulness.
'Disobedience brings sorrow, shame, reproach'
My name is Gift Luke. I joined The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries in 2010. I am grateful to God for making my family and I members of this great movement. Last Tuesday, when I came back from morning-cry, I began to pray, asking God to give me a testimony. God turned around and said He has done a lot for me, but I have not testified. I said I have testified in my branch. He said I should testify at the headquarters so that the whole world would hear it. This is the reason I came.
My Testimony
It was in 2014 when I saw our G.O. in a revelation. He said: 'My daughter, go and preach the gospel. Go and make sure that my house is clean. Go and visit my people. Whatever problem they share with you and whatever counsel you give to them, that is the final. In any problem, call me with this number.' He called his phone number for me, and in that process, I woke up and found out it was a dream. I thought it was an ordinary dream, so I did not take it seriously and therefore did not obey the instructions given. The result was that my family and I began to suffer terribly. We lacked money to pay house rent, and to eat became very difficult. Because of that, we relocated to where my husband bought a piece of land. There was nothing in place, so we put tarpaulin and began to sleep there. We slept there for six years.
One day, I took my children to school, and as I was returning, I saw one man. He said to me: 'Stubborn woman, go and do the work of God.' I said I am already doing God's work. He said no, that I should go and preach the gospel, adding that my family and I are suffering because I have refused to do so. It was at this juncture that I remembered the dream and summoned courage and began to preach the gospel, beginning from that June when I came across the man. One week after doing this, my brother who had refused to help me suddenly called and asked after my welfare and that of my children. He then gave my daughter a scholarship from nursery school to secondary school. Moreover, they (my brothers) paid for accommodation for my family, and that is how we came back to Lagos. Praise the Lord!
In addition, when I was pregnant with my second son, I fell down, and the head of my baby in the womb went to my back. Doctors and nurses did all they could for the baby to return to the womb, but to no avail. By this time, I had already spent five days in the hospital. On the night of the fifth day, I saw the angel of our G.O. He came to me and said I should declare who I am. I did that, and God manifested, and the baby went back into the womb, and I delivered safe and sound. Praise the Lord!
Again, I discovered that in my husband's family, they do not have many men. So I asked God to give me more boys, and God answered by giving me four boys and a girl. Praise the Lord! May all glory be unto the Lord in Jesus' name. I pray for our G.O. and all Chosen members worldwide to make heaven in Jesus' name. Amen!
