Funeral Rites for Chief Oxone Biosah Commence June 10
The funeral rites for Chief Oxone Ogodiuno Biosah, who passed away recently at the remarkable age of 100, will officially begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The first event is a service of songs and wake, scheduled to take place at his residence in Umuolo Quarters, Onicha Ugbo, Aniocha North Local Council, Delta State, starting at 4:00 p.m.
Schedule of Events
On Thursday, June 11, there will be a brief stopover and lying-in-state at No. 4, Akpenyi Street, Agbor, commencing at 8:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at Onicha Ugbo Girls’ College, followed by interment at his residence at noon. Traditional rites will continue on Friday, June 12, and a thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. at a venue to be communicated in Onicha Ugbo.
Chief Oxone Ogodiuno Biosah lived a century-long life, and his family, friends, and community members are expected to gather to honor his memory through these traditional ceremonies. The events reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Aniocha North community in Delta State.
