The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pentecost House Parish, located in Gbagada, Lagos, has announced a series of events spanning 10 days to commemorate its 10th anniversary. The announcement was made by the church's anniversary committee chairman, Victor Okelakin, who revealed that the celebrations would commence on Friday, June 12, 2026, with an opening night of thanksgiving at the church auditorium situated at 55, Shogbamu Street, Gbagada, starting at 6:00 p.m. The anniversary thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026, at noon at the same venue.
Celebrating a Decade of Faithfulness
Okelakin described the anniversary as a celebration of a decade of God's unwavering faithfulness and expressed profound gratitude to God for sustaining the church throughout these years. He noted that the anniversary, themed 'Overflowing Blessings,' will feature various guest ministers and include 10 hours of worship, 10 hours of thanksgiving, family bonding and love feast, movie night, a night of blessings, and a night of breakthrough, among other activities.
Community Impact and Gratitude
The Pastor in charge of the Parish, George Okonkwo, expressed his thankfulness to God for the dedicated, loving workers and ministers who have contributed to the church's growth. He highlighted the church's impact within the community, which has been both spiritual and physical. Okonkwo mentioned that the church has organized free six-to-eight-week summer classes during long holidays, demonstrating its commitment to community development. He prayed for the church's continued spiritual and physical growth and for the grace to touch more lives and bring as many people as possible to Christ.
