Rotary International District 9111 is preparing to host a grand year-end celebration for its members and their families. The event, known as the Family of Rotary Party, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The venue for this festive gathering will be the Sports Training Ground NITEL Cappa in Oshodi, Lagos. This occasion is designed to be a major social event for the Rotary community within the district.
Theme and Leadership for the Festive Gathering
The District Governor, Prince Henry Akinyele, officially announced the event, revealing that the theme for this year's celebration is 'Familiganza'. He confirmed that comprehensive arrangements are in place to ensure the full participation of the district's over 78 registered clubs.
Echoing the governor's sentiments, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Past Assistant Governor Samson Okenyi, described the party as the perfect time for Rotarians and their loved ones to socialize and relax in a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Registration Details and Event Highlights
Lekan Olubajo, the Secretary of the Planning Committee, provided specific details about the registration process. He stated that clubs are expected to register and represent their respective zones, with clubs from the same zone being grouped together at the event.
The club registration package is all-inclusive, covering a wide array of amenities and activities. Registrants will receive a canopy, two dozen chairs, and four tables. The package also includes an electric power connection from a central source.
Furthermore, registered clubs gain unlimited access to all event activities. These include zonal game competitions, dedicated entertainment for children, and entry to a special Children's playground and games village. A highlight for the young attendees will be a visit to the Father Christmas grotto, ensuring a memorable experience for the entire family.
