AGN President Emeka Rollas Breaks Silence on Regina Daniels' Marital Crisis
AGN President Speaks on Regina Daniels' Marital Issues

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has broken his silence on the ongoing marital crisis between popular actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Prince Ned Nwoko, who serves as a lawmaker.

Breaking the Silence on Family Matters

In a detailed statement released on social media, Rollas explained that he decided to speak out after his name was repeatedly dragged into the couple's private affairs. He revealed that he had been accused of remaining silent because he and the guild had allegedly benefited financially from the lawmaker.

Rollas described Regina Daniels as needing professional help and criticized industry colleagues who know the truth about her health status but choose to speak negatively about her behind closed doors. The AGN president expressed disappointment at senior colleagues who witnessed concerning behavior from Regina on movie sets but have remained silent.

Incidents That Raised Concerns

Rollas recounted a specific incident that occurred during their son's birthday celebration at a popular children's playground in Wuse 2. "In the presence of friends and AGN members, your husband made a statement to you regarding your smoking habit," Rollas revealed in his statement.

He detailed how Ned Nwoko had expressed concern about Regina's smoking, suggesting that if she stopped, she might have a daughter. The lawmaker reportedly stated that he had involved her family and was now addressing the issue publicly since private interventions had failed.

The AGN president emphasized that this incident was witnessed by multiple people, including AGN members Agility, Nazareth Jesse, and some of his Senior Special Assistants, making it more than mere hearsay.

Addressing the Funding Misconceptions

Rollas took the opportunity to dismiss claims that Ned Nwoko has been funding the Actors Guild of Nigeria. He clarified that while the lawmaker had mentioned ₦200 million during their office launch, this amount was specifically for his wife's film production, not for the guild.

"Regina and her mother have repeatedly claimed that you funded AGN, rented and furnished the office, and donated ₦200 million to the Guild," Rollas stated, adding that this misinformation has created unnecessary burdens for him.

Criticism of Key Figures

The AGN president didn't spare any of the parties involved in the situation. He criticized Regina's mother, Rita Daniels, for pursuing ambitions to become the next AGN president while her daughter's home and health remain in distress.

He also addressed Ned Nwoko directly, stating that it was inappropriate for a man of his status to air marital concerns on social media. Rollas maintained that such matters should be handled internally through better communication channels.

Rollas called out specific senior colleagues including Okey Bakassi, Charles Inojie, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, and Sanni Danji, who were present during the last production where Regina's behavior raised concerns. He challenged them to break their silence and acknowledge what they witnessed.

Defending His Legacy

As he prepares to leave office, Rollas defended his tenure, highlighting that his administration successfully convened Congress meetings where all state chapters gathered in single venues - a feat he claims no previous AGN president had accomplished.

He mentioned successful conventions in Uyo, Akwa Ibom and Benin, Edo State, emphasizing that converging state chapters requires millions of naira, which his administration managed without external help.

The AGN president concluded by stating that he owes it to himself and the guild to clear his name from false accusations as he prepares for the upcoming elections scheduled for the first week of December.
