MultiChoice Nigeria has launched an exciting array of holiday packages and special offers for GOtv subscribers, designed to keep families entertained throughout the festive season. The comprehensive package includes exclusive football coverage, festive programming, and significant price reductions on decoders.
Festive Entertainment Lineup
The company revealed that GOtv customers will enjoy a special Holiday Pop-Up Channel on GOtv Channel 49 running from November 20, 2025, to January 3, 2026. This channel will showcase major celebrations and cultural events across Africa, providing subscribers with diverse entertainment options during the holidays.
Tope Oshunkeye, MultiChoice's Executive Head of Marketing, emphasized that the programming is specifically designed to bring joy and value to customers during this special time of year. The Holiday Pop-Up Channel will feature several key events including the Festival of Champions on November 21, The Experience on December 5, the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival on December 19, and Carnival Week in Calabar from December 23 to 30.
Exclusive Football Coverage
Football enthusiasts have particular reason to celebrate this holiday season. GOtv Jolli customers will receive 24-hour Premier League access on Sunday, November 30, with key matches airing across SuperSport EPL, SuperSport Action, and SuperSport Football channels.
Additionally, subscribers on GOtv Jolli and higher packages will gain access to a dedicated AFCON Pop-Up Channel on GOtv 59, broadcasting the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 tournament in Morocco. The championship runs from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, with most fixtures airing live. Additional games will be available on SuperSport Africa 2 (GOtv 64) from December 29 to January 1.
Affordable Access Initiatives
In a move to make entertainment more accessible, MultiChoice has significantly reduced decoder prices. The company has slashed the cost of GOtv decoders to as low as N6,500, with this promotional pricing available until December 31, 2025.
This price reduction follows a similar initiative in June 2025 under the company's "We've Got You" campaign, which saw decoder prices cut by approximately 50%. The current price adjustment reflects MultiChoice's commitment to helping more Nigerian families access quality entertainment during the holiday period despite economic challenges.
Oshunkeye noted that the combination of football, festivals, and reduced decoder prices represents the company's comprehensive approach to ensuring customers can fully enjoy the festive season. The strategic package combines popular sporting events with cultural celebrations and financial accessibility, creating a well-rounded entertainment solution for Nigerian households.
