Prisca detailed the event in a Facebook post on Sunday, February 1, 2026, explaining that it happened while she was visiting her sister in Lokoja. Her sister had just had a baby, and their mother was present for the traditional Omugwo period. One evening, around 8:00 to 8:30 PM, as the family was about to eat, they heard a knock at the gate.

She described the intense pain she endured, stating, "The pains I went through during this period ehhh. I saw shege."

Prisca reflected on the timing, noting, "Seeing different posts about snakes just took me back to 2019. Is there anything that chases them away? I think this is their season." Her story highlights the unpredictable nature of such attacks and the severe health risks they pose.
