The Delta State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Dr Emmanuel Unuafe, has called on party leaders, members, and the people of Delta State to view his 'New Delta Vision' campaign not as a mere political project but as a generational movement. He emphasized that it is a promise to children, communities, and the future, and a call to service, sacrifice, and collective greatness.
Democracy Day Message
Unuafe made this appeal in his Democracy Day message to party faithful as campaigns begin to gain momentum. He expressed heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for their resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment during challenging times. He noted that the economic realities facing the nation have tested the strength and endurance of the people, yet they have remained steadfast in believing that a better Delta State is possible.
Call for Unity and Progress
He urged party faithful across the 25 local councils and all Deltans to stand firm in the pursuit of justice, fairness, and progress. He acknowledged the peaceful and coordinated protests regarding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ward delineation exercise, which ultimately yielded positive results.
Dr Unuafe's vision for a transformed Delta State beyond its rural status distinguishes him as a professional in project management. He stated that the massive transformation ahead, one the state has never witnessed, can only be achieved through unity. He stressed that progress cannot flourish where division exists, and development cannot thrive where suspicion and disunity prevail. He concluded that the Delta of their dreams will not be built by one individual, one community, or one political group, but by all working together with a shared sense of purpose and destiny.
