2027 Election: Gov Fubara Says 70% Mobilisation for Tinubu Already Done
Fubara: 70% Mobilisation for Tinubu's 2027 Bid Done

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has made a significant declaration regarding the upcoming 2027 general elections, stating that mobilisation efforts for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are substantially advanced.

Fubara's Confidence in Grassroots Structures

Governor Fubara revealed that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has acknowledged his formidable grassroots network and dedicated supporters. According to the governor, this recognition forms the bedrock of the party's strategy for the next presidential race.

He expressed his firm belief that the party's committee is positioned to provide the necessary backing to ensure President Tinubu's success when Nigerians return to the polls.

The 70% Completion Claim and APC's Message

The governor made these revelations on Thursday, December 18, 2025, during a public event in Emuoha Local Government Area. The occasion was the inauguration of the 9.7km Ogbakiri Road project.

Fubara shared details of a meeting he held with the APC NWC the previous day, Wednesday. He relayed a direct message from the party's leadership: "We know that you (governor) are very hard working. We know that you have organic support, transfer this support to the success of our leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu."

In response, Governor Fubara assured the committee, stating he told them not to worry because "we have the rightful soldiers" for the task ahead.

Local Government Support Seals Confidence

Pointing to the gathering at the project inauguration, Fubara indicated that the widespread local support visible was proof of the progress made. He noted the presence and backing of the Local Government Chairman, community chiefs, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders.

"And today I’m happy to say that with what I am seeing here, we have the support of the LGA, from the local government chairman, the chiefs, traditional rulers and everyone here, our job is 70% done," Governor Fubara confidently stated.

This declaration underscores the early commencement of political manoeuvring and alliance-building for the 2027 presidential election, with Governor Fubara positioning himself and his political structure as a key pillar for the APC's future ambitions.
