Accord Party Ogun Rules Out 2027 Coalition with APC or ADC

The Ogun State chapter of the Accord Party has firmly denied any plans to form a political alliance with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or any other opposition party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Party Chairman Speaks Out

Hon. Rotimi Oke, the chairman of the party in Ogun State, made this clear during an interview in Abeokuta, the state capital, on Wednesday. He emphasized that Accord remains independent and will not merge its structure with the APC or the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

"Accord remains Accord. We do not belong to any other political party, and we are not in alliance with any party. Soon, our members will know our plans, and we will unveil them," Oke stated.

Criticism of Governor Abiodun's Administration

Oke also took aim at the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, accusing it of failing to implement policies and projects that could ease the economic hardship faced by residents. He argued that the APC government, both at the national and state levels, has not lived up to expectations in tackling hunger, inflation, and insecurity plaguing Nigerians.

Despite these challenges, Oke expressed confidence that Accord remains the party to beat in Ogun State come 2027. He urged party members to stay united and await the unveiling of the party's strategic plans.
