An aggressive donkey named Freddy went on a biting and kicking rampage in Germany on Friday, August 21, after escaping with a horse and jumping into a van, injuring three people. The incident occurred near a roundabout in Holssel, south of Cuxhaven, where motorists spotted the two animals loose and attempted to secure them.
Donkey Jumped Into Van and Attacked Occupants
According to reports, Freddy became "very aggressive" as people tried to intervene. The donkey then jumped into a van and attacked two people inside, repeatedly kicking and biting them. The victims managed to escape with minor injuries, according to local reports.
A 33-year-old woman was also injured and required hospital treatment after attempting to help during the incident. The chaos only ended when Freddy's owner arrived and was able to bring the donkey under control.

Freddy was subsequently returned to his enclosure and secured behind a chain-link fence. German police said: "The reason for the animals aggressive reaction is still unclear."
Local media speculated that Freddy may have been attempting to protect the mare that had escaped with him. Veterinary authorities were notified following the incident.
Investigation Continues
The circumstances surrounding the donkey's behaviour remain unclear, and no further details about the injured individuals were immediately available. The incident has raised questions about animal control in the area, though authorities have not indicated any further action at this time.
