The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially sold its first presidential expression of interest and nomination form for the 2027 general elections, valued at N100 million. This significant development marks a key milestone in the party's preparations for the upcoming polls.
Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a prominent presidential aspirant and the first major challenger to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar within the ADC primary, acquired the form. He made a firm commitment to tackle pressing national issues such as insecurity, unemployment, and the high cost of living that burdens millions of Nigerians.
First Aspirant to Secure ADC Form
According to reports from The Punch, Hayatu-Deen is the first aspirant to receive the nomination form from the ADC National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo. His supporters view this as a sign of growing momentum for his candidacy, signaling a strong challenge ahead.
The decision was announced in a statement released by his media team on Friday, May 8. In the statement, the presidential aspirant emphasized that the forthcoming general elections should focus on restoring economic stability and strengthening the country's security framework.
Commitment to National Restoration
Hayatu-Deen reiterated his vision for Nigeria, highlighting the need for policies that address the root causes of insecurity and economic hardship. He called for a collective effort to build a safer and more prosperous nation.
The ADC has positioned itself as a viable alternative in the political landscape, and the sale of this form is expected to attract more aspirants in the coming weeks. The party aims to field a strong candidate capable of uniting the country and driving transformative change.
