Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Minna Branch, have elected a new set of executives to steer the affairs of the association, with Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Ndamitso emerging as the new Chairman.

Election Details

The election took place on Friday at the Minna High Court Complex, where eligible members cast their votes for candidates contesting various elective positions within the branch.

Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Ahmed Yusuf, announced the results, revealing that 95 ballot papers were issued to qualified members who participated in the exercise.

Yusuf declared the winners of the nine elective positions as follows:

  • Chairman: Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Ndamitso
  • Vice Chairman: Barr. Jibril Abdala
  • Secretary: Barr. Solomon Mamman Jiya
  • Treasurer: Favor Abraham
  • Financial Secretary: Barr. Denis Noel Barje
  • Welfare Secretary: Barr. Silestine Audu
  • Publicity Secretary: Barr. Achanyan Deborah
  • Provost: Barr. Okibe Job
  • Assistant Secretary: Barr. Isah Abubakar Lapai

Chairman-elect's Remarks

Speaking with journalists shortly after his declaration as Chairman-elect, Barrister Ndamitso commended the Electoral Committee for conducting a peaceful and credible election. He also expressed gratitude to branch members for the confidence placed in him and pledged to strengthen the association while advancing the interests of all members.

Ndamitso assured that he would leave no stone unturned in elevating the NBA Minna Branch to greater heights during his tenure.
