Primate Ayodele's 2026 Prophecies: Northern Leaders to Oppose Tinubu, Atiku Warned
Cleric's 2026 Prophecy Warns of Political Turmoil

In a major revelation that has stirred Nigeria's political landscape, prominent cleric Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele has unveiled a series of prophetic warnings for the year 2026, with significant implications for the nation's leadership and the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Key Political Predictions for Nigeria

The spiritual head of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church made these disclosures on Saturday, December 20, 2025, during the presentation of his 142-page compendium titled 'Prophetic Warnings: 2026 Prophecies and Beyond'. The event was held at his church's headquarters in the Oke Afa area of Lagos State.

Central to his prophecies is a forecast of intensified political friction. Primate Ayodele stated that some northern elders will mobilise strong opposition against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He further warned that this dynamic would cause divisions within the northern region itself.

The cleric also directed a caution towards former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, advising him to be prepared as certain elements will attempt to blackmail him. Additionally, he predicted heightened activity for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), suggesting that the anti-graft agency will expose numerous politicians. This exposure, he foretold, would lead to a collective backlash against the EFCC chairman, Ola Olukoyede.

Global Forecasts and Track Record of Prophecies

Beyond Nigeria's borders, Ayodele's prophecies encompass global geopolitics. He indicated that actions by United States President Donald Trump could trigger a major shift in the world's balance of power, leading to the removal of some world leaders. The cleric also urged prayers to avert tragic plane crashes involving top personalities.

According to the Primate Ayodele Consultative Media team, the cleric boasts a long history of fulfilled prophecies that lend credibility to his latest warnings. They cite his accurate predictions on several major events:

  • Political developments in Chad.
  • The constitutional amendment process in Togo.
  • The coup that ousted Gabon's President Ali Bongo.
  • Warnings against increases in Nigeria's Value Added Tax (VAT) and stamp duty.
  • The legal troubles of former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
  • The economic hardship experienced under the Tinubu administration.

His media team emphasised that over his 31-year ministry, Ayodele has recorded no fewer than 15,000 fulfilled prophecies. They added that from the prophecies released in 2025 alone, approximately 200 have already come to pass.

Denial of Extortion Allegations

The prophecy unveiling comes amid a recent controversy involving the cleric. Primate Ayodele used the opportunity to firmly deny allegations made by Bayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power. Adelabu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had accused the cleric of attempting to extort N150 million from him for spiritual intercession to become governor of Oyo State.

In a statement conveyed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele refuted the claim, explaining that his interaction with the minister was solely a request for Adelabu to purchase trumpets for the church, not an extortion attempt.

As the nation digests these prophetic warnings, they are set to fuel further discussions and analyses within Nigeria's vibrant political and social spheres, especially with the 2027 elections looming on the horizon.
