Ahead of the New Year, prominent Nigerian cleric, Pastor Michael Mike, has released his annual prophetic declarations for the year 2026, making startling predictions concerning key political figures, the economy, and notable personalities.
Political Forecasts and Personal Milestones
In a detailed Facebook post titled 'Prophecy for the Year 2026,' the pastor delved into the future of Nigeria's political landscape. He declared that Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will contest in the 2027 Lagos State governorship election. However, in a twist, the cleric prophesied that Seyi Tinubu will not secure the party nomination for the coveted seat.
Regarding the opposition, Pastor Mike dismissed the viability of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) as a serious platform to challenge President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential polls. He predicted that the new coalition will face very strong internal issues that will cause some prominent members to exit the party.
On a personal note for politicians, the cleric stated that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar will give away a daughter in marriage in 2026, an event he said will be supported by family and friends. He also foresaw an unnamed son of the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari bagging a government appointment.
National Warnings and Economic Predictions
The prophecies extended beyond individuals to national infrastructure and the economy. Pastor Mike issued a specific warning to the Dangote Refinery to pray against a fire outbreak. He also mentioned a potential bridge collapse in the country, though he added a caveat that there would be no injuries if people prayed over it.
Economically, the cleric gave a mixed forecast. He predicted that Saudi Arabia will support Nigeria financially and that there will be a boost in Nigeria's economy. Accompanying this growth, however, he foresaw heavy protests. On agriculture, he prophesied a good boost but also a concerning vision of a bag of rice being sold for thirty thousand naira.
He also touched on the longstanding agitation for new states, declaring that the proposed Anioma state will not be created in the coming year, labelling the pursuit a political game.
Celebrities, Sports, and International Affairs
The prophecies cast a wide net, encompassing the worlds of entertainment, sports, and global events. Pastor Mike predicted a lot of marital settlements by Nigerian celebrities in 2026. For the music scene, he stated that Davido is very close to winning a Grammy Award.
In sports, he forecasted that Europe will win the next World Cup and that French football star Kylian Mbappe is closer to winning the Ballon d'Or. He also had a prediction for English football club Chelsea, stating he saw them rejoicing as they are about to win a cup in England.
On the international front, the cleric urged Germany to pray against a war eruption, claiming he saw their soldiers preparing for conflict. He also mentioned a vision of a Ghanaian airplane nearly crashing, but said God did not allow it to happen.
Pastor Mike concluded with several calls for prayer for individuals including businessman Cubana Chief Priest, against whom he foresaw heavy international allegations, former militant leader Asari Dokubo, singer Portable, the mother of evangelist Ebuka Obi, and the family of former military ruler General Ibrahim Babangida. He also urged prayers against a heavy flood that could cause dam damage in northern Nigeria.
