Senator (Barr.) Neda Bernards Imasuen, who represents Edo South Senatorial District in Nigeria’s 10th Senate, has been selected to receive the prestigious Distinguished Achievement in Legislative Excellence and Democratic Governance Award at the 2026 African Achievers Awards. The organisers announced the honour in a formal letter dated June 11, 2026, stating that Senator Imasuen was unanimously chosen by an independent panel of judges in recognition of his outstanding contributions to legislative development, democratic governance and public service.
Award Ceremony at the House of Lords
The award will be presented at the 2026 African Achievers Awards ceremony scheduled for July 22, 2026, at the House of Lords in London. The event will bring together distinguished leaders from Africa and across the globe to honour exceptional accomplishments in various fields.
