TSG Appeals for Responsible Media Reporting on National Security
The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has made a passionate appeal to media organizations across Nigeria, urging them to maintain objectivity and patriotism in their coverage of governance matters. This call comes as the country continues its journey toward achieving a secure and stable society under President Bola Tinubu's leadership.
During a significant media engagement held in Akure, the Director-General of TSG's Ondo State Chapter, Ademola Adegoroye, emphasized that media institutions have a crucial responsibility to consider peace and the sanctity of human life in their reporting. Adegoroye, who previously served as Minister of State for Transportation, expressed confidence that Nigeria will soon overcome its current challenges.
Economic Reforms and Infrastructure Development
The former minister drew an analogy between Nigeria's current situation and the pain a woman experiences before childbirth, describing it as a necessary phase preceding a new dawn. He stressed the importance of keeping focus on the ultimate goal of building a nation all citizens can be proud of.
Adegoroye highlighted the bold economic measures taken by President Tinubu, noting that the administration has launched remarkable projects designed to transform the economy. He specifically mentioned agricultural initiatives that are already contributing to reduced food prices and comprehensive approaches to addressing security concerns.
Other prominent TSG members who spoke at the event included Dr. Kola Ademujimi, Dr. (Mrs) Morin Olanipekun, Pastor Segun Ayerin, and Erelu Modupe Martins. They collectively reminded journalists about numerous Tinubu administration projects directly benefiting Ondo State residents.
Key Infrastructure Projects in Ondo State
The group detailed several critical road projects currently underway in and around Ondo State, including:
- The Ore–Akure Road reconstruction
- The Ado–Akure Road improvement
- The Ado Ekiti–Ikare Akoko Road development
- The Lagos–Calabar Super Highway, with over 71 kilometers passing through Ondo State
Reference was also made to empowerment initiatives spearheaded by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, which have provided substantial benefits to women across Ondo State.
The TSG officials also acknowledged the widespread infrastructure developments initiated by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa's administration, noting that these projects are significantly improving residents' quality of life while strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s connection with voters.
Upcoming Mobilization Activities
Adegoroye announced the official commencement of mobilization efforts by Local Government Coordinating Committees, scheduled to begin simultaneously across all 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State on Wednesday, November 26th. This coordinated approach aims to strengthen grassroots support for the administration's development agenda.
The TSG leadership concluded by calling for constructive support for President Tinubu's administration while cautioning against forces attempting to reverse the progress being made toward national development and security.
