A Nigerian man has recounted a harrowing incident after discovering a large snake inside the toilet of his apartment building, sparking widespread reactions on social media. How the Snake Was Discovered in the Toilet
The ordeal began when a neighbor raised an alarm after spotting what appeared to be a snake inside his toilet shortly after his fiancée used it. Initially, other residents doubted the claim, as they had not seen the reptile themselves. Toborre explained that the neighbor went to use the toilet and noticed something unusual, prompting him to run out and alert others.
"One of our other tenants went in and realized that there was something. After poking it with a mopping stick, it went down inside," he said. Upon confirming the presence of what was believed to be a King Cobra, the residents immediately contacted fumigators to address the situation.
Fumigation and Abandonment of the Apartment
The fumigation team arrived with chemicals and conducted treatments, advising everyone to avoid the toilet and the entire apartment for several days. The residents complied, abandoning the apartment for about five days. However, upon returning, they were met with a strong and unpleasant odor emanating from the bathroom.
Tracing the source of the smell, the neighbor discovered that the snake had died inside the toilet and had begun to decompose. In the video, Toborre gathered courage to retrieve the dead reptile from the toilet bowl, using gloves left behind by the fumigation team. He described the moment as terrifying, noting that the snake was large and tightly coiled within the toilet.
