In a post dated September 9, 2026, she shared a receipt showing the N30,000 refund, explaining that her ex-husband had previously refused to collect the money from her family and through legal channels.

According to her Facebook post, Ejike Tobias Ugwuoke paid the bride price on January 2, 2020, but when the marriage broke down, he refused to accept the refund from her family, her kinsmen, or via legal means. Left with no other option, she took matters into her own hands and returned the money herself on September 9, 2026.
She posted a screenshot of a receipt confirming the N30,000 refund to her ex-husband. In her words: "I Single-HANDEDLY Returned it Myself Today Being 9/9/2026."
