According to reports, the armed robbery occurred on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2026, at Iya Femi Restaurant along Shiroro Road in Minna. The victim, a bank customer, had just withdrawn over N10 million from a bank in the state capital when he was trailed and robbed by the suspects. The spokesperson for the NSCDC Niger State Command, DSC Abubakar M.R., confirmed the recovery in a statement issued on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He explained that operatives from Operation Flush, acting on credible intelligence and a tip-off from security personnel stationed within the Three Arms Zone, discovered the vehicle at approximately 0830 hours.
