Trump Views '86 47' Code as Assassination Threat

U.S. President Donald Trump believes that the mysterious code '86 47' appearing on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., is a direct threat to kill him. The numbers have been etched into the grass, visible in aerial photos, and are believed to reference Trump as the 47th president, with '86' being slang for getting rid of something or someone.

Investigation Underway

An Interior Department spokesperson stated that any threat against the president is taken very seriously, and the U.S. Park Police will investigate the incident. Grass samples have been collected to determine the cause of the discoloration. Authorities responded to the scene on June 11, noting that the numbers were arranged to show '8647,' though the four was not fully formed.

Previous Incidents

Earlier this year, former FBI Director James Comey was indicted for allegedly threatening Trump with a photo of seashells spelling out '8647.' Comey was interviewed by the Secret Service after Trump administration officials claimed he was advocating assassination. Comey deleted the post, claiming he was unaware of the violent association, but Trump accused him of knowing exactly what it meant.

Trump's Response

In a Fox News interview, Trump said, 'A child knows what that meant. If you're the FBI director and you don't know what that meant, that meant assassination.' Meanwhile, Trump has faced pressure over the Iran conflict, canceling scheduled strikes after discussions with multiple nations, though the naval blockade remains in effect.
