The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two individuals in connection with the tragic killing of a 25-year-old man, Friday Isah, during a birthday gathering in Mubi North Local Council of Adamawa State. According to police reports, the incident unfolded in Digil Ward, where an altercation escalated, leading to the victim being fatally stabbed with a knife.

Details of the Incident and Police Response

The suspects, identified as Samson Elisha, 19, from Giye Digil, and Ayuba Stephen, 21, from Dagala Digil, both residents of Mubi North Local Council, allegedly fled the scene immediately after the attack. Police operatives from the Mubi North Divisional Headquarters swiftly responded to a distress call, rushing the injured Friday Isah to a nearby medical facility. Despite efforts to save him, a doctor later confirmed his death.

In a statement, the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, announced that the suspects are now in custody and that investigations are actively ongoing. The commissioner strongly condemned the killing, describing it as an unfortunate event that has shocked the community.
