The Adamawa State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in a homicide case, arresting two individuals in connection with the tragic killing of a 25-year-old man, Friday Isah. The incident took place in the Mubi North Local Government Area of the state, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, the fatal stabbing occurred during a birthday party at Digil Ward. The suspects allegedly attacked the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene, leaving him critically injured.
Upon receiving the report, operatives from the Mubi North Divisional Headquarters swiftly responded, rushing to the location and transporting Friday Isah to a medical facility for urgent attention. Despite these efforts, a medical doctor later confirmed his death, highlighting the severity of the assault.
Suspects and Investigation
The police have identified the arrested suspects as Samson Elisha, a 19-year-old resident of Giye Digil, Mubi North LGA, and Ayuba Stephen, a 21-year-old from Dagala Digil in the same local government area. Both individuals are now in custody as the investigation progresses.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has expressed strong disapproval of the incident, describing it as an ugly event that undermines public safety.
