The Nigerian delegation was led by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke. The meeting's primary objective was to review the status of the programme to acquire 12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters and identify ways to fast-track their delivery into service.
According to statements from the NAF, the review thoroughly assessed logistical planning, budget compliance, and the steps required to ensure the helicopters are delivered within the approved schedule and cost framework. The NAF spokesperson, Ehimen Ejodame, emphasized that the engagement aimed to resolve operational bottlenecks that could potentially delay the deployment of the critical assets.
