Security Personnel Ambushed in Nasarawa State

A tragic security incident unfolded in Nasarawa State when suspected armed robbers ambushed a security patrol team, resulting in the death of three security operatives. The attack occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, along the Idadu-Agbashi road in Doma Local Government Area.

Victims and Immediate Aftermath

The fallen security personnel included Police Inspector Christopher Enoh and two vigilante members, Mathew John and Augustine Yusuf. All three victims were from Agbashi town. The team was conducting routine patrol duties when gunmen opened fire on them, killing all three personnel immediately at the scene.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the attackers not only killed the security operatives but also made away with an AK-47 rifle containing 30 rounds of ammunition that belonged to the late police inspector. The assailants successfully escaped from the location after committing the crime.

Current Security Response

The remains of the deceased have been transported and deposited at the Agbashi General Hospital mortuary. Security forces have reportedly intensified their efforts to track down the perpetrators and recover the stolen weapon. This incident highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by security personnel in the region and the need for enhanced protection measures.
