A devastating incident occurred in Kwara State on Saturday when a 12-year-old girl lost her life after falling into a surface well. The young victim, identified as Nabilat, resided on Busari Alao Street in the Ikoyi Community area of Irewolede, Ilorin West Local Council.

The tragedy unfolded at approximately 10:35 a.m. while Nabilat was performing a routine household chore - drawing water for domestic use. According to eyewitness accounts, the young girl was at the well when one of her legs suddenly slipped, causing her to fall into the deep water source.
A concerned neighbor, identified as Mr. Mayowa, immediately alerted the Kwara State Fire Service about the emergency situation. Despite the quick response, when fire service operatives arrived at the scene, they recovered Nabilat's body from the well, confirming the heartbreaking outcome.
